Cock

The Stage, 17/18 february 2017, Producer

When John takes a break from his longterm boyfriend, he accidentally falls for the girl of his dreams. A very personal and naturalistic story, it is one that many people can identify with. The play is done without props, the only set we chose to have was a sawdust floor with a white circle taped around it, reminiscent of a cock-fighting ring, an allusion to the title and style of the play. Between each act a bell was rung, signifying the changing of rounds and upper hands. After the show we had talk-back sessions in collaboration with Saints LGBT+, which were run by members of their committee, as well as some of the actors, and the director. (Cock was written by Mike Bartlett and directed by Joanna Bowman and Jared Liebmiller)
