6-13, 14-20 August 2016, Paradise Green Studio

(Venue 152)

In August 2016 Wanton Theatre took John Ford's 'Tis Pity She's A Whore to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, in Association with Mermaids: The University of St Andrews Performing Arts Fund. This production was also supported by the Antony Tudor Trust.

‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore is John Ford’s Jacobean parody of Romeo and Juliet: incest, passion, blood, and a disembodied heart create a ritualistic spectacle that questions the bounds not only of conventional theatre, but also of conventional morality.
